How to Export Your Browser History

Sharing your browser history is a simple way to contribute to your Second Brain and unlock rewards. Follow the steps below based on the browser you use: Microsoft Edge, Brave, or Chrome. Let’s get started!

For Microsoft Edge Users

Microsoft Edge makes it easy to share your history by using its default history file. Here’s how:

  1. Locate Your History File:

    • Open Edge and go to Settings (click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then select "Settings").

    • Navigate to Privacy, search, and services to check your browsing data, or find the history file directly in your profile folder (typically located at C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default).

    • Look for a file named History—this is your browsing history file.

  2. Upload the File:

    • Visit the SecondBrainDAO dashboard.

    • Select the “Browser History” option from the menu on the dashboard page.

    • Click “Start Contribution”

    • Locate your History file, and select it.

    • Follow the further steps on the screen

Pro Tip: Ensure your browser is updated and your history file reflects your latest browsing for the most accurate results!

For Brave or Chrome Users

For Brave or Chrome, you’ll use a handy extension to export your history as a CSV file. Here’s the step-by-step process:

  1. Install the Extension:

    • Open your Brave or Chrome browser.

    • Go to the Chrome Web Store.

    • Search for “Chrome History Analysis to CSV” and click “Add to Chrome” (this works for Brave too!).

    • Confirm the installation by clicking “Add Extension” in the pop-up.

  2. Export Your History:

    • Once installed, click the extension icon in your browser toolbar (you may need to pin it from the puzzle-piece menu).

    • Follow the extension’s prompts to export your browsing history.

    • Save the file as a CSV (it’ll download as something like history.csv).

  3. Upload the CSV File:

    • Visit the SecondBrainDAO dashboard.

    • Select the “Browser History” option from the menu on the dashboard page.

    • Click “Start Contribution”

    • Locate your .csv history file, and select it.
